Kevin Ripley's 'Kinda Jumpin' is a stand up drum 'n' bass heater full of stuttering breaks, unlikely melodies, and fast bass weight. B-side 'goog ogogo go' unfolds in layers of nocturnal bell tones, which slide elegiacally over a relentlessly pulsing acid groove.
Ripley's productions are informed by years of work as a jazz drummer in Philadelphia. A close collaborator of Kingsley Ibeneche, Lee Clarke, Jarrett Gilgore, and other Astro Nautico community members, Ripley has previously self-released several EPs and the full-length Three Changes (2017).
